Let?s face it: most of us will get them sooner or later. Age spots, also called sun spots or brown spots will appear as we age, perhaps making us look older than we actually are. Most people start noticing these spots in their 50?s, but much sooner is possible, too.
One reason for this overproduction of a substance called melanin is damage you may have done to your skin years earlier with too much sun tanning. While you can?t change that now, there are many things you can do to lessen the effects of the mistakes you might have made in your youth, and try to eliminate the visible age spots you already have, or at least lighten them.
For us in our 30?s and 40?s, prevention is the best way to protect ourselves: stay out of the sun, take care of your health and start using the right organic skin care products.
In detail, make sure to wear sunscreen every time you leave the house on a sunny weather. Be sure to rub some on the backs of your hands, too. Most of us neglect to do this, and that?s why age spots usually tend to first appear on the backs of the hands.
