The Idiot Box Home Screen [Featured Home Screen]

This week's feature home screen comes from reader Step666, who incorporates his icons into the wallpaper for a very cool effect.

Step666 runs down the tools that make it happen:

• The launcher is VTL, an ADW spin-off.
• The wallpaper is TV Addict by boostr29 on DeviantART.
• The icons are all from LauncherPro Icons and are embedded in the wallpaper (pasted in using GIMP). If you like them, please consider paying for the icon pack in the Market, which is both convenient and pays for DroidIcon's hosting.
• Desktop VisualiseR with a transparent PNG for the Browser and Facebook icons.
• SMS Unread Count with the same transparent PNG for the SMS and Gmail counters/shortcuts.
• SiMi Folder (again with the transparent PNG) for the games folder.
• Minimalistic Text for the clock and battery widgets.

• The lock screen features the same unknown wallpaper without the icons embedded in it but with the same two Minimalistic Text widgets and a custom Sense-style slider of my own making using Widget Locker.
